SUMMARY:Snowden - Josh Reichmann
DESCRIPTION: Snowdenwww.myspace.com/snowden http://snowden.info"Jeffar
es voice soars above the hauntingly icy bass lines and chilly atmosphe
rics. Bombs and death rays\, corporate decay\, and failed or failing l
ove are just some of the bleak themes the band explore\, and their alb
um's title track might offer the best solution to the hopelessness of
it all." -- SPIN "The charm of Snowden's debut is its understated auth
enticity: Underneath all the accoutrements\, these are Jeffare's bedro
om songs\, and it's not hard to extrapolate to their simpler days as a
nguished acoustic ballads." -- Village Voice "The original Snowden tau
ght Yossarian that man is matter-- kill us and we're dead. It's OK for
stylish post-punk to matter\, too\, and Anti-Anti does so without for
getting to be fun." -- PitchforkJosh Reichmannhttp://profile.myspace.c

nn has been experimenting with music\, forming bands\, recording and t
ouring for years. The tangible outcomes of such travels most notably i
	nclude Josh's first band\, Tangiers\, who brought a Rock/Post-Punk sou
nd that began a trail of critical acclaim with their first release Hot
New Spirits and spread over two more records (Never Bring You Pleasur
	e)\, 2004 and The Family Myth\, 2005). A bending blend of genres and w
ith a transcendent atmosphere that was displayed both live and on reco
rd\, Tangiers caught the attention of indie-rock fans across Canada an
d the US\, and earned rave reviews from such notable sources as Pitchf
ork Media. Years from the landscape of Tangiers\, Josh again returns t
o music with an entirely new line up of collaborators. As before\, he
seeks to offer a new sound and approach drawing from a collection of h
is time-tested influences\, newfound landscapes and his own highly cul
tivated voice. Now gathering from a pool of Soul\, early-Funk\, Roots
and dark Punk influences\, Josh endeavors to continue to challenge the
contemporary ideas surrounding song and fashion while at the same tim
e remaining committed to traditional song craftsmanship.
