DESCRIPTION:Originally from Paola\, Kansas\, Ryan Anselmi now resides 
	in New York City working as a free lance artist and pursuing an M.D in
	 Music Education/Performance.\n   He started taking lesson's from Char
	les Kessinger at the age of 12 and by the age of 15 he was working pro
	fessionally with the Twin Rivers Jazz Band from Osawatomie\, Kansas. T
	hanks to The Twin Rivers Jazz Band Ryan was able to meet and play with
	 people like David Basse & The City Light Orchestra\, Organist Everatt
	 Devan and Jay McShann. Ryan later moved to Wichita\, Kansas where he 
	attended Wichita State University studying under Tom Fowler\, Craig Ow
	ens\, Dr. Thompson\, Mark Foley\, & J.C. Combs. During his time in Wic
	hita he played with a number of great musicians and ensembles. Some of
	 these include: The Hillside Blues Quartet\,The Masuda Quartet\, The S
	ource\, Chet Aikens Quartet\, Roberto Bernardinello & Marco Porcu\, Ku
	rt Aiken Quartet\, The Tom Fowler Big Band\, The Air Capitol Big Band\
	, Roger Lewis's "Joy Ride"\, Matt Walsh's Blues Band\, Criag Owens & t
	he Bodo Ensemble\, Colassal\, The Sean Fanning Quartet\, Soul Injectio
	n\, Sterling Gray\, Lotus\, many Wichita State University Ensembles\, 
	The Coaster's and opening up for Maynard Ferguson and Kenny Rogers. Ry
	an was inspired to apply to The New School's Jazz And Contemporary Mus
	ic Program in New York City. After doing so he was awarded a scholarsh
	ip to the program and moved to New York City in August of 2006.\n    N
	ow Since his arrival he has rubbed elbows and worked with the likes of
	 Pharoah Sanders\, Chico Hamilton\, Reggie Workman\, Cecil Bridgewater
	\, Matt Wilson\, Jeff Lederer\, Junior Mance\, Tim Price\, Brian Lynch
	 and many others. Along with booking his own Quartet Ryan is teaching 
	in various settings. He is also exploring his own writing style for bo
