	 Ronny signed his first record ideal with Universal Island in July 199
	1\, and started work on his debut release\, the Antidote. The rest as 
	they say\, is history. Ronny "crossed over" instantly with his first r
	elease\, the first ever international jazz guitar pop chart hit\, Mile
	s Davis's "So What" which was completed on the same night Miles Davis 
	passed away."The Antidote" became a global smash not just because of "
	So What" -which became the definitive Acid Jazz tune - but also becaus
	e of his signature tune "After Hours" - the first and most important s
	mooth jazz guitar classic which introduced Ronny to the US market. Sin
	ce the seminal release of "The Antidote"\, Ronny has recorded five mor
	e albums released by Universal Island\, Blue Note Records and N-Coded 
	Music\, each time solidifying his reputation and legendary status with
	 each release. In addition\, Ronny has won numerous awards over the ye
	ars\, most notably the Gibson Guitar Best Jazz Guitarist of the year (
	2000)\, the MOBO Best Jazz Act Award (2000). Ronny was also nominated 
	for a Grammy for Best Contemporary Jazz Album (A Brighter Day) in 2001
