DESCRIPTION:Larry Newcomb\, performing and recording jazz guitarist\, 
	returned home to New York on Valentine’s Day 1999 after earning the 
	Ph.D. in Music from the University of Florida.  Dr. Newcomb performed 
	and taught extensively in Florida while completing his graduate work. 
	 Larry founded Newcomb Guitar School in 1985 where he enjoys the singu
	lar privilege of mentoring a wide variety of aspiring guitarists.  Cur
	rently\, Larry performs classic and original jazz in solo\, duo\, trio
	\, and quartet configurations in the greater metropolitan New York Cit
	y area and Eastern U.S.  He continues to teach at Newcomb Guitar Schoo
	l in the Columbia University community. The Larry Newcomb Trio is very
	 excited about contributing to the prodigious jazz program at the Gara
	ge.  With Mike Camoia on tenor sax\, and Tom Hubbard on bass\, the Lar
	ry Newcomb Trio delivers their finest jazz on the first and third Satu
	rdays of each month in the Garage Saturday Jazz Brunch series.  The Tr
