	o the New York jazz scene\, Jamaal has performed with recognized heavy
	weights Bobby Watson and Barry Harris as well as unsung giants David S
	chnitter\, Bill Saxton\, and Valery Ponomarev. Jamaal began his musica
	l education in Kansas City\, where he spent three years under the tute
	lage of Mr. Watson at the University of Missouri. In 2003\, he decided
	 to make the move east to New York. There he completed his education\,
	 studying with a who's who of the jazz world including Gary Bartz\, Gr
	eg Osby\, and Greg Tardy. Having cut his teeth on the New York scene\,
	 Jamaal has performed in a variety of locales in NYC including Sweet R
	hythm\, Crash Mansion\, the Garage\, S.O.B.s and the Blue Note.
