	enue. Meshell Ndegeocello The innovative bassist\, composer\, and band
	leader Meshell Ndegeocello was one of the first artists signed to Mado
	nna's Maverick label in the early 90s. Her 1993 debut\, Plantation Lul
	labies\, received three Grammy nominations\, but it was a duet a year 
	later with John Mellencamp on a cover of Van Morrison's "Wild Night" t
