DESCRIPTION:  Start Time: All Day  July 6 - 12One in eight Americans s
	truggles with hunger each year\; one third of them are children. We al
	l know\, and are in contact with\, people affected by hunger\, even th
	ough we might not be aware of it. These are often hardworking adults\,
	 children\, and seniors who simply cannot make ends meet and are force
	d to go without food for several meals\, or even days. Our local food 
	pantries are struggling to meet our community’s needs\, particularly 
	with the increased demand resulting from the current economy. As a mem
	ber of the community\, the Library wants to help make a difference. Fr
	om July 6 – 12\, the Library will be a collection site for our local 
	food pantries. Please bring your nonperishable food items to the Libra
	ry. As an added incentive\, the Library will allow you to use your don
	ation to help offset your overdue fines. Each donated item equals a $1
	 credit against existing fines\, up to a maximum of $5 per Library car
	d. We hope you will take this opportunity to help replenish our local 
	pantries’ dwindling food supplies\, whether or not you owe a fine. Li
	brary: Mount Prospect Public Library Other Information:  Each item don
	ated = $1 in overdue fines.Donations will cover current fines only and
	 cannot be applied to bills for lost or damaged Library materials. Don
	ations cannot be credited against future fines. Fines will be rounded 
	to the nearest even dollar amount. Maximum credit of $5 per Library ca
	rd.
