	ith a reception from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.The goal of this Forward Thinking
	 event is to celebrate and encourage faculty research that involves st
	udents\, including research in the humanities\; behavioral and cogniti
	ve sciences\; social and economic sciences\; engineering\; computer an
	d information sciences\; education\; math and physical sciences\; medi
	cal and health sciences\; nursing\; business\; law\; biological and bi
	omedical sciences\; and interdisciplinary research. The specific objec
	tives are to:* Showcase prospective faculty research projects and the 
	ways in which faculty involve students in their work. * Provide opport
	unities for researchers to interact with peers in other disciplines\, 
	form interdisciplinary partnerships\, and plan new projects. * Encoura
	ge development of research and professional skills for undergraduate a
	nd graduate students (e.g.\, planning research projects\, preparing pr
	esentations and posters\, presenting research to a diverse audience of
	 faculty and student peers). This event is very different from traditi
	onal conferences where presentations are used to convey the results of
	 work that has been completed. All presentations featured here focus o
	n projects that will take place in the next 12 months. The projects be
	ing presented may still be in the planning phase. Indeed\, these are a
	ll very exciting new endeavors and all are welcome to view the excitin
