DESCRIPTION: Show Time: 7:30pm Chicago's Rise Against began in 1999 to
	 be rooted in the sound and social vision of traditionalist hardcore. 
	The band made their major-label debut in August 2004 with "Siren Song 
	of the Counter Culture." They toured steadily after the album's releas
	e\, received plenty of solid press\, and even saw Counter Culture crac
	k the Billboard Top 200. The band continues to tour nationwide.  One o
	f the cornerstone bands of the '90s punk revival\, Rancid's unabashedl
	y classicist sound drew heavily from the Clash's early records\, echoi
	ng their fascination with ska\, while adding a bit of post-hardcore cr
	unch. Critics praise their political commitment\, surging energy\, and
	 undeniable unique sound with a hook. And\, regardless of critical deb
	ate over their significance\, the band's strengths made them perhaps t
	he most popular neo-punk band after Green Day and the Offspring.
