DESCRIPTION: A Pet-Look-Alike contest will take place at 11 a.m. and r
	egistration for the contest will be on site. Dana Smith and his perfor
	ming dog\, Lacey\, will provide a fast-paced variety show onstage at 1
	 p.m. Other attractions include pet psychic Terri Jay\; author and boo
	k signing event with Kimberly (Lewis) Reinhart and Paula Jacoby-Garret
	t\, writers of Best Hikes with Dogs: Las Vegas and Beyond\; dog yoga a
	nd massage with Amy Herzlich\; and natural pet food/care with Dr. Nanc
	y Brandt. There will be animal adoptions coordinated by NSPCA\, fun ac
	tivities for kids of all ages including electronic and print games\, v
	endors of various pet wares and related services\, as well as food ven
	dors. Each adopted animal will be accompanied with a welcome gift bask
	et. Free dog and owner portrait photos for the first 300 attendees and
	 free pet scoops for the first 100 attendees. All pets must be on a le
	ash at all times. This free event is co-sponsored by the Friends of So
	uthern Nevada Libraries.
