	owntown Houston. Take Beltway 8 or Loop 610 to Hwy 225 East. (If appro
	aching Houston from the east on I-10\, exit Hwy. 146 South to Hwy. 225
	 West.) Exit Battleground Road (Hwy. 134) and turn left (north). Exit 
	to your right onto Juan Seguin Blvd. (Park Road 1836). Park at the mon
	ument and enter the west entrance. The Walk Box is located in the unat
	tended kiosk to your left as you enter the monument. Event Description
	:  Daily 9-6. You may start anytime the museum is open up to approxima
	tely 2 hours before it closes. Closed Thanksgiving Day\, Christmas Eve
	 and Christmas Day. Recommended to bring insect repellent\, sunscreen 
	hat\, water and binoculars. The route winds throughout the San Jacinto
	 Battleground State Historic Site\, around the San Jacinto Monument\, 
	and past the Battleship Texas. Many species of waterfowl may be seen f
	rom the trail. The trail is mostly along park roads\, however some of 
	the walk is over grassy fields and on a boardwalk into the marshes alo
	ng the Houston Ship Channel. Entrance Fee is $1 for 13 years to Adult
