	r\, PhD\, combines his considerable knowledge of the history of holist
	ic medicine and medical anthropology with information from his latest 
	book\, Global Warming and the Political Ecology of Health to discuss â
	€˜Naturopathic Medicine in the Context of Global Warming.’ Dr. Baer 
	is a Lecturer in both the School of Anthropology\, Geography and Envir
	onmental Studies and the Centre for Health and Society at the Universi
	ty of Melbourne\, as well as a post-doctoral fellow in the Medical Ant
	hropology Program at Michigan State University. He is also associate e
	ditor for the history chapters of a textbook produced by the Foundatio
	ns for Naturopathic Medicine Project and has authored 12 books\, inclu
	ding Medical Anthropology and Toward and Integrative Medicine: Merging
	 Alternative Therapies with Biomedicine. In 1994 Dr. Baer was awarded 
	the Rudolf Virchow Prize by the Critical Anthropology of Health divisi
