DESCRIPTION:  Hey People\, We sold out all of our previous classes and
	 still have more interest - so here is another class for those of you 
	that didn't get in! LEARN TO SAIL and have a great time in the process
	!! If this has been one of your dreams -- than here is your opportunit
	y! Have your certification and be able to rent a boat either here in t
	he metro area or next time you go on vacation! Paid Attendees: (Only 9
	 spots available!) 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Join in for a fun 10-hou
	r 2-day course that will give you all the skills and knowledge necessa
	ry for confident small boat handling! This course is taught aboard the
	 19' Flying Scot\, and has a student-to-instructor ratio of 3:1 (the l
	owest in the Washington or Annapolis areas). With the exception of the
	 first 10 minutes of orientation\, the entire course is taught aboard 
	the boat with you and your two classmates at the tiller. Topics covere
	d in the course include: rigging\, the points of sail\, navigational m
	arkers\, right-of-way rules\, man overboard procedures and plenty of m
	ooring and docking drills. At the end of the course -- test out your s
	kills as you compete with your new friends!! And\, come away with your
	 basic sailing certification. There is a 9 person limit - you must be 
	prepaid in advance to go! First paid only basis!! We do expect to sell
	 out so get your payments in quickly! COURSE COST: $295 - Non-refundab
	le payment. SCHEDULE: August 2nd: Be there at 9:30am. Sailing starts a
	t 10am. (Bring a bag lunch from 12:30-1:30pm) then sail from 1:30-4:30
	pm. August 3rd: Be there at 9:30am. Sailing starts at 10am. (Bring a b

	 Vanessa OTHER DETAILS PARKING: Park anywhere in the marina or the adj
	acent picnic area parking lot. Parking is always crowded on weekends\,
	 so plan to arrive early. Do not park on the entrance road reserved fo
	r trailer parking. CHECK-IN: Meet at Check-in at 9:30 then the office 
	staff will help you get oriented\, and have you sign a boat rental agr
	eement (required). WEATHER: No attempt is made to sail in dangerous or
	 miserable conditions and lessons will be rescheduled. We recommend ca
	lling the office if threatening weather is forecasted. We have sophist
	icated radar access and will make every attempt to call you before you
	 leave home. We will sail\, however\, when conditions permit instructi
	ve sailing\, including light showers and light winds. CLOTHING: Dress 
	for the weather conditions. If cool -- a light windbreaker is desirabl
	e as it is always cooler on the water. In the summer\, wear light colo
	r clothes and a hat or visor. Good sunglasses with straps and sunscree
	n are also important. SHOES: While nonskid boat shoes are best\, any r
	ubber soled shoe (tennis shoes) will provide safe footing. Sandals and
	 flip flops DO NOT provide foot protection. BEVERAGES: The Flying Scot
	s are large comfortable boats. Feel free to bring a jug of water or ju
	ice out on your class\, you'll be happy you did on a summer day. Pleas
	e note that alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the boats. GO FOR
	 FREE PRACTICE: Offered Monday thru Friday between 9am and 8pm\, the w
	eek following the completion of your course. RENTALS: After your week 
	of free time\, take your friends and family out any day Mon.-Fri. betw
	een 9am and 8pm at half price. We will have the boats rigged and ready
	 to sail.\n
