	ober 13\, 2008 - Saturday\, November 29\, 2008  Call for Entries: The 
	Columbus Metropolitan Library\, Ohio Arts Council and Friends of the L
	ibrary have once again partnered to bring arts opportunities to artist
	s and the public by presenting a juried art show at the Columbus Metro
	politan Library. In 1998 the two organizations collaborated to create 
	the Ohio Online Visual Artist Registry (OOVAR)\, a database that showc
	ases the work of more than 700 artists from Ohio and around the world.
	  The Third Annual Online Visual Artist Registry Juried Art Show will 
	feature original works of art by Ohio artists. Work will be selected t
	hrough a blind jury process of distinguished art professionals\, inclu
	ding professional juror\, Ron Kroutel\, an Athens area artist who won 
	the juror's choice award during the 2007 OOVAR exhibition. The artwork
	 will be displayed at The Columbus Metropolitan Main Library in the Ca
	rnegie Gallery from October 13-November 29\, 2008. An award of $1000 w
	ill be given for Juror's Choice. An award of $500 will be presented fo
	r People's Choice. People's Choice Award ballots will be accepted thro
	ugh November 8. The cash awards are provided by Friends of the Library
	.  The juried show is open to all living artists of Ohio 18 years of a
	ge or older. Entrants must be registered in the Ohio Online Visual Art
	ist Registry. There is no entry fee. Up to three images may be submitt
	ed on CD or as slides. Work must be original and created within the pa
	st three years. Deadline to apply is August 8\, 2008. Additional requi
