a synthesis of styles from across the Americas.  He is now touring the
US and Canada with Argentinean singer Natalia Clavier www.eslmusic.co
m/artist/natalia_clavier.Pacha Massive will be making their 3rd and th

erformed live in L.A. only twice at small venues.  This rare performan
ce will feature a funky fusion of traditional Latin rhythms like Colom
bian cumbia\, Dominican palo\, and Afro-Cuban son.  Their rhythmic ble
nds of funky Latin jams with Jamaican reggae-dancehall\, dub and drum-
and-bass has made them a New York club favorite.Straight from the boog
ie-down Bronx\, Pacha Massive (from Pachamama meaning “Mother Earthâ
€ť) is the creative collaboration between Dominican-born Nova (keys\,
guitar\, writer and producer) and Colombian-born Maya (writer and bass
). the duo met in New York while working on a project with Ivan Benavi
des (Sidestepper\, Bloque\, Carlos Vives) where a creative collaborati
on between the two led to the formation of Pacha Massive in 2005.  Pac
ha Massive has been making a buzz since playing their first gig at Mad
ison Square Garden opening for Aterciopelados. DJ Nova (writer/produce
r\, King Chango\, SiSé\, Om) on keys/guitar and Maya on bass make up t
he core of Pacha Massive\, often sharing the stage with up to seven or
eight collaborators. They are the first U.S. group to be signed by Na
cional Records.   Both members of the group are Latinos\, from Colombi
a and the Dominican Republic\, now living in the U.S. and sharing a co
mmon passion for music. Their music is a reflection of this exciting g
eneration: a melting pot of genres\, languages\, backgrounds and style
s.“When I came to the U.S. I got my first instrument on my 15th birt
	hday\, a drum set\, and as the years passed I picked up guitar\, bass\
, keys\, percussion and finally the instrument that allowed me to soli
dify my ideas in a flexible and efficient way….a Mac\,” said Nova.
He describes his musical influences from people “who have influence
d me in the way I make music” citing Bruce Lee\, Benjamin Franklin a
nd Leonardo DaVinci as “people who had a bigger perspective and were
more holistic in their craft.Media Sponsors:Bazuca MagazineLARemezcla
