DESCRIPTION:  Whiteoak Canyon "It's hard to keep track of all the fall
	s at Whiteoak Canyon. There are six sequentially numbered falls\, star
	ting from the Blue Ridge and ending down at the base of the canyon. Wh
	ether or not you correctly number the falls\, take this classic Shenan
	doah hike\, for there are not only falls but also canyon views and eve

	! Take note we are not ice climbing but only hiking on the trail that 
	takes us around the falls. This is a moderate hike. For information ab
	out how to dress etc. for winter hiking please refer to our "about us"
	 pages and pay particularly close attention to the section on base lay
	ers and avoiding cotton!!! Showing up without appropriate footware\, w
	ater\, and winter clothing will result in you being sent away. I reali
	ze this sounds harsh but hypothermia is a real danger and I do not wan
	t any of us to get injured or ill so proper precautions must be taken.

	 you don't miss us in case you are late arriving to the trailhead. Ple
	ase remember we are a beginning level hiking group and our pace is slo
	wer than most of the other groups out there. We take breaks as necessa
	ry although we do not stroll. We get the heart rate up and stop for pe
	ople to catch up as needed. We have at least one guide in the front (v
	aries according to how many hikers RSVP "YES") in addition to a "sweep
	er" or two in the back\, which means that no hiker is ever left behind
	. If you get upset because someone has to rest at the top of a hill et
	c. then you might want to find another group. We are very supportive a
	nd encouraging with no pressure on speed. Our focus is to have a good
