	This course\, “The Heat is On! Confronting Climate Change in the Clas
	sroom\,” will focus on global climate change and its interactions wit
	h the cryosphere.  This activity is sponsored by the Center of Excell
	ence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER).  \n\nParticip
	ants of this workshop will:\n\n \n-Develop an understanding of the fu
	ndamentals of climate change\, including global and regional impacts.\
	n-Understand basic ice sheet dynamics and the tools used to measure th
	e polar ice sheets.\n -Understand the role of the polar ice sheets in
	 the climate system and sea level rise.\n -Develop a set of classroom
	 resources and a plan for their implementation.\n -Become familiar wi
	th a variety of climate change resources available for classroom use.\
	nParticipants will be evaluated on:\n-Ten online assignments (~3 hours
