	e release of their 7th album For Some Strange Reason in October 2007\,
	 which was a top 10 hit\, Aslan started 2008 on a high. In February 20
	08 the band picked up the Best Irish Band Award at the Meteors. This w
	as the second Meteor Award the band has picked up having previously be
	en awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. After a memorable p
	erformance in the green tent at this years Oxygen festival Aslan are p
	leased to announce they will be playing in Vicar Street on Saturday 27

	ngs by ELO\, Rod Stewart and Gilbert O’ Sullivan to name but a few. 
	In fact\, the band have made contact with Gilbert O’ Sullivan with a

	n April 2009. As Vicar Street gigs featuring Aslan tend to sell out\,
