DESCRIPTION: Time: See below   The exhibition features objects that ha
	ve been in storage in the Museum for a long time. The objects were col
	lected primarily in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries not j
	ust for public display but also to assist scholars in the study of cla
	ssical art and architecture. The collection includes glass vessels\, t
	extiles\, sculpture\, ceramics\, coins\, gemstones and architectural f
	ragments from places as geographically diverse as Egypt\, Austria and 
	England. Introducing the exhibition is a display of Etruscan material 
	followed by an exploration of the themes of Everyday Life\; Death\, Bu
	rial and the Afterlife\; Religion\; Personal Adornment and Dress\; Ent
	ertainment and Imperial Power in the Roman world. The exhibition concl
	udes with the introduction of Christianity. Under a new initiative\, i
	nformation panels on this exhibition will be available in English\, Ir
	ish\, French\, Spanish\, Italian\, Polish and German. Contact and Open

	\, Dublin 2 is open from 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday and from 2pm
