DESCRIPTION: Michael Loftus' 15-year career as a comic and actor start
	ed in Columbus\, OH\, where he founded the improv comedy troupe called
	 Midwest Comedy Tool & Die. After sharpening his craft\, Michael decid
	ed to head out west to pursue stand-up. The comedy group is still very
	 popular on the east coast and Michael joins them on stage at every op
	portunity.  Once in Los Angeles\, Michael began writing and performing
	 for the Acme Comedy Theatre and soon after\, his career took off. He 
	performed at such noted festivals as the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in 
	Aspen and the Bass Ale Comedy Festival in New York City\, while he con
	tinues to headline top clubs from coast to coast. Michael is currently
	 a writer on the hit ABC comedy series The George Lopez Show and was a
	 political commentator for the AOL Election Guide 2004. Earlier this y
	ear\, he served as a writer on the first-ever animated "topcial situat
	ion comedy"\, This Just In\, airing on Spike TV. He has appeared on Co
	medy Central's Premium Blend and was recently a semi-finalist on Star 
	Search. Michael has also done educational videos for PBS\, which have 
	won several Emmy Awards and a TV commercial\, which won an Addy Award.
	  In addition to his own $20 Worth Comedy Album\, he has appeared on t
	he Warner Bros. Comedy Album\, Exective Privilege\, alongside Kevin Po
	llak and The Best of Bob & Tom CD. As a solo act\, Michael is a regula
	r performer at Improv clubs across the country. This year he had the o
	pportunity to travel to Iceland\, (yes\, we said Iceland) to deliver h
	is high energy\, off-the-cuff style of comedy to sell-out crowds.  Kno
	wn for his versatility and topical comedy\, Michael has consistently r
	eceived rave reviews for his political humor and his stream of conscio
	usness style of stand-up. When he's not working\, Michael raises his t
	wo boys and he can be found doing crossword puzzles\, Internet gaming\
