	t for anyone from a true beginner to throwing students looking to get 
	off of the wheel and try something different for a while. Learn the ba
	sics of how clay behaves through rolling\, stacking\, and blending coi
	ls. Discover what you can make clay do at various stages of dryness th
	rough working with both soft and hard slabs. You will also have the op
	portunity to work with molds\, which can help you attain difficult-to-
	build shapes. Students will be taught how to use the slab-roller\, the
	 extruder\, and studio glazes. At the end of the class each student wi
	ll take home a 15" tall coiled piece decorated with clay slips\, a sla
	b-built cylinder and box\, as well as a set of three or four pieces ma
	de from slabs and/or molds. There is also an option of an open project
	. This class allows students to build large projects quickly and break
	 out of the circle! Need: Handbuilding 1 tool kit. No experience requi
	red. Class runs for six weeks\, cost is $175 + $25 toolkit. Offered Tu
	esday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm.
