Washington\, D.C. The Joint Congress ional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies has printed about 250\,000 tic kets to the Jan. 20 swearing-in ceremony at the west front of the U.S. Capitol. The tickets are free and will be given to members of Congres s and to President-elect Barack Obama's presidential-inaugural committ ee\, once that is established. Those who want to attend the ceremony s hould contact their local member of Congress to request tickets. The v iewing area will stretch from the Capitol along the Mall. Some more di stant parts of the viewing area will not require tickets and probably will be served by huge video screens. Congressional staffers said Frid ay that there were reports of advertisements on the Internet selling i naugural tickets for hundreds of dollars each. I located a hotel that is approximately 1.5 hours out\, but on t he route to the White House. I anticipate a two night lay over to save money. This trip will take place during the early morning hours of Ja n 18\, 2009 and boarding the bus the evening after the inauguration an d parade (this is not a guarantee of tickets to either event) I locate d a bus company that will change out our bus driver three times\, to e nsure that our driver is well rested. The bus will include TV\, DVD/VC R\, and stereo\, the cost includes round trip transportation to Washin gton D.C. and will include your hotel\, driver(s) tips\, parking fees\ , the driver accommodations\, continental breakfast at a comfortable h otel.
