	: Drawing inspiration from playing cards\, tarot cards and Mexican lot
	eria cards the organizers of The Deal initiated a local\, city wide ar
	t card collective in the spring of 2008 called The Deal. Art entities 
	including visual artists\, performers\, musicians\, film makers\, muse
	ums\, galleries\, writers\, architects and supporters of the arts are 
	represented by an individual card. The deck of 108 cards has become a 
	tangible object embodying a selection of these "creators" offering a r
	eference to the individual as well as to the Boise community arts scen
	e. As an object\, The Deal will provide a tangible reference for the c
	ommunity as it exists right now but there is hope that the cards can a
	dditionally offer historical significance to future generations of Boi
	se Arts "creators." Reception: Sept. 2\, 2008\, 5:00 – 7:00 Free parki
	ng will be available in the Liberal Arts parking lot during the recept
	ion. \n
