DESCRIPTION: Enjoy highlights of baroque and classical berliner music 
	in an atmosphere adapted to that time. Charlottenburg Palace\, the mag
	nificent summer residence of the Prussian kings\, was right from the b
	eginning of its history a center of artistic activities as well as enj
	oyment of art. With this new series of concerts performed in the Great
	 Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace we should like to offer an opportun
	ity to Berliners as well as to visitors from abroad to dive into the t
	ime of the baroque and to listen to highlights of baroque and classica
	l Berlin music in an atmosphere adapted to that time. The members of t
	he orchestra as well as the recipienty will be dressed in baroque cost
	umes\, the program will be performed under candlelight. The Berlin Res
	idence Orchestra will have been exclusively gathered for this Charlott
	enburg Palace Series of Concerts. Its members will be professional and
	 renowned musicians from Berlin with particular understanding and love
	 for music of the late baroque and classical era\, who are eager to he
	lp a modern audience to appreciate the music of this historical time. 
	Programme: The program comprises a number of musical peaks of the 17th
	 and 18th centuries\, ranging from the Olympic musical genius Johann S
	ebastian Bach to Queen Sophie Charlotte\, after whom the palace was na
	med and who was a gifted composer herself\; from King Frederic the Gre
	at and his court musician Luigi Boccherini to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
