	cago. Aqua is a fascinating project for many reasons\, including the v
	arying free-formed slab edges\, construction over an existing structur
	e\, and the use of multiple structural systems and materials. This pre
	sentation will highlight some of the unique design challenges and intr
	icacies of Aqua and provide a perspective of the design opportunities 
	available to a &147\;new&148\; engineer. Amy Haaland is a Project Engi
	neer with Magnusson Klemencic Associates in Seattle\, Washington. She 
	received her Bachelors Degree from Vanderbilt University (2003) and he
	r Masters Degree from the University of California at Berkeley (2006).
	 A registered Professional Engineer in Washington\, Amy has worked pri
	marily on high-rise structures and is a member of MKAs Office Building
