	useum will host its fourth annual Noontime New Year: An International 
	Celebration. Noontime New Year was created to provide families with yo
	ung children an opportunity to celebrate the New Year together in an e
	nvironment that fosters cultural awareness and promotes a sense of com
	munity. Building upon the theme of this highly anticipated annual even
	t\, Port Discovery expanded the celebration to an international level 
	beginning in 2006. Israel was the first featured country\, followed by
	 Greece and then Japan. This year's featured country is Italy. Through
	 cultural programs and performances\, children and families will have 
	the opportunity to learn about the culture\, traditions and heritage o
	f the Italian culture.  Special guest MPT's Bob the Vid Tech will be h
	osting the countdown at noon from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm!
