Well they're back. The Sanders Family returns to Burritt on the Mountain in Sanders Family Christmas. Renaissance Theatre brings this famous sequel of Smoke on the Mountain to the Old Country Church December 16 20. Selling out each year, The Sanders Family Christmas has become a holiday tradition for many Huntsville Faithful.
Faithful but funny the Sanders family Christmas will have the congregation laughing in the aisles. We'll return to Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, on Christmas Eve of 1941. Reverend Oglethorpe has invited the Sanders to the Baptist Church to sing and witness, getting the congregation into the downhome holiday spirit.
Guests will hear and join in more than twodozen Christmas carols, many of them vintage hymns, and laugh at hilarious yuletide stories. The play takes place in a church which makes the Old Country Church at Burritt perfect as the venue.
