Houston fans of punk and metal probably already know that one of the best clubs to catch live music is the Scout Bar, off of Egret Bay Boulevard. The bar has developed quite a reputation for their schedule of both mainstream and local music that plays seven nights a week. The addition of a full bar, party atmosphere, and spacious stage area have made the Scout Bar one of the most popular venues in Houston.
The bar has become known for hosting big name metal and punk bands like Drowning Pool, Blue Oyster Cult, Unwritten Law, and Kamelot, as well as local bands. However, the band has also scheduled performances by other artists like Vanilla Ice, Micky Avalon, and The Ataris. Scout Bar also has a special spot for dance music fans called The Green Room, a small lounge with house DJs and an excellent dance environment. The building itself makes for a great venue, with a large interior, outdoor patio, and huge bar area that complement the outstanding music on the events calendar.
