The Bayou Music Center is located in the Texas city's Bayou Place entertainment complex. The venue was formerly known as the Verizon Wireless Theater Houston, and is currently owned by Live Nation.

Opened in 1997, the Bayou Music Center boasts a concert capacity (standing room included) of 2800. What's more, the unique and adjustable seating design in place allows the venue to accommodate theater, comedy and cabaret performances in addition to the concerts for which it is most commonly known. Elton John, Kylie Minogue, the Deftones, Wilco, and Ryan Adams are just a few of those featured on the theater's schedule in the past.
