Whether you are busy dealing with a demanding job, raising kids, or coping with illness, simply finding the time to get organized can be a challenge! Regina Leeds will show us how anyone can organize their home with just a few minutes each day. Who doesn’t have 8 minutes?

Some of the topics covered in the program will be:

• Learn the power of lists and how to craft an effective one.
• Tips to help you gain control of the main rooms of the home: Kitchen, Bedroom, Bathroom, Family Room and the Children’s Rooms. And of course we touch on everyone’s nemesis ~ paper piles!

• Discuss the power of systems, rituals, routines and maintenance.
  

Projects are divided into three types of areas:
Quickies:          Projects that take less than 8 minutes.
Basic 8’s:          Projects that take 8 minutes
Ambitious 8’s:   Projects that take more than 8 minutes are divided into 8- minute work segments.

About the Author
New York City native Regina Leeds has brought order to home and work environments across the United States since January, 1988. Regina began using the phrase “The Zen of Organizing” before she actually wrote her first book (of the same title). The “Zen of Organizing” refers to the creation in your home or work area of a calm, peace-filled, joyous environment; which in turn lends itself to control over one’s life.

Other books were soon to follow: One Year to an Organized Life hit bookstores in January, 2008 and was an instant New York Times best seller. It was considered the Bible of Organizing. One Year to an Organized Work Life followed in January, 2009; followed by several others in the series. Which eventually led to her ninth book titled, “The 8 Minute Organizer: Easy Solutions to Simplify Your Life in Your Spare Time.” It is devoted to those with time challenges who can’t imagine devoting a year to getting organized.
Regina has been featured in national magazines, including Bon Appetit, Redbook, In Style, Women's World, the Home section of the Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post. She was the resident expert for the Home and Garden Channel at iVillage.com for 5 years.

The 'Zen Organizer' has taught classes and delivered speeches on the art of 'Zen Organizing' to diverse groups around the country. Her audiences have included: Conde Nast, HP, Costco, Coldwell Banker Offices, the Mile Hi Church of Religious Science in Denver. This will be Regina’s second visit to Unity Church of Houston.
