We will be hosting our first meet and greet meeting,to get to know each other,also have discussions, Ideas and plans for our next fundraiser and volunteers, to help different charitable needs, It will be very important for you to attend, if you are serious about helping with charities, in our community. We will be holding a food drive at this meeting, as suggested by member Daniel Hyman some Ideas we can have is to inform co-worker about the food drive ,am sure they will be happy to donate a can of food for the event. Food Drive Items Most Needed The following is a list of food items most needed by the programs served by the Houston Food Bank. ÃÂ Protein items Canned tuna or chicken, packed in water Canned stews and pasta/meat, easy on salt and fat ÃÂ Peanut butter ÃÂ Canned fruits in light syrup, natural applesauce ÃÂ 100% juice cans or boxes ÃÂ Canned vegetables, tomatoes, tomato sauce ÃÂ Soups with meat and/or beans, meal-in-a-can, easy on salt and fat ÃÂ Cereals and cereal bars, easy on sugar and fat ÃÂ Pasta, spaghetti, macaroni, noodles ÃÂ Packages of dry beans For the safety of those we serve, the Houston Food Bank is unable to accept: ÃÂ Open packages ÃÂ Homemade food items ÃÂ Perishable foods ÃÂ Baby food ÃÂ Items with ÃÂ"expiredÃÂ" dates
