Photowalk: Saint Arnold's Brewery

UPDATE: October 29, 2009 So do you want the Good News or the Bad News First? The Good News is we are definitely doing a photowalk at Saint Arnold's, the bad news it will NO longer be on November 7th. As some Saint Arnold lovers know, the new brewery is opening its doors to the public this weekend. So on the 7th it will be its second tour. The great people at Saint Arnold's said we are still more than welcome to come, the problem is the brewery is not set up yet. Most of the equipment is still at the old location, and the new location looks kind of like a construction zone. So I have decided that for both parties it is just not the right time to go. They are going to be extremely busy with the new place and we would be getting a less than ideal photowalk. When I booked the tour, they didn't really think they would be at the new location yet and this date would be fine. But life is unpredictable and they moved in sooner. They plan on having the new brewery completely set up within two months, so we will do the photowalk then. I have decided to just move the date instead of canceling to make sure the people who signed up, stay signed up. The new tentative date is Feb 6, 2010. That will most likely change. I am going to call them back after the holidays are over and we will decided on a Saturday sometime in Jan or Feb. I hope everyone understands that this is for the good of the group and will make for a better photowalk down the road. And for all the people on the waiting list, my hope is that the first tour goes good and then we can come back and do more. It also looks like it will be a great day next Saturday. So I am going to plan another photowalk for that date. Be on the lookout for that meetup notice:) Original Message: Come join us for a beer lovers dream. We will be having a Photowalk at Houston's #1 microbrewery, Saint Arnold. Every Saturday the brewery hosts a tour for the general public and they are graciously allowing us to come in before it starts and take pictures. This will be a great opportunity to see how a real working brewery works and take some pictures of a local business. Even after they open the doors, we will still be allowed to keep shooting (and taste some great beers of course). So come out, support a local brewery, take some fantastic photos, and try some of the best beers around. Details: The tour officially starts at 1pm and costs $5 dollars. The $5 includes a tasting glass and 4 drink coupons. If you are under 21 you MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The starting time is still tentative, but will be updated closer to the event date.
