Paddle from Stow-Away Marina to Cagle Recreation Area

How about doing a pre-Thanksgiving Day paddle on the Northern end of Lake Conroe? This is in the Sam Houston National Forest and is a bit calmer than the open Lake. We will put-in at Stow-Away Marina and paddle up to Cagle Recreation Area. We will run our own shuttle and both points will be safe to leave our vehicles. For those of you who need to rent a kayak, North Lake Conroe Paddling Co. is located at our put-in. Just give Larry Mason a call and make your reservation for a boat. Or, you can rent from Southwest Paddlesports, which is located on your way North along I-45 from Houston. Either way, you must make your reservation ahead of time to ensure you have a boat. I hope some more of you will decide to join us, itÂ’s really not that far of a drive NorthÂ… youÂ’ll be surprised at how fast you get there. For those interested in getting a bite to eat afterwards, Stow-Away Marina has a reasonably priced restaurant on the premises. We can gather there after shuttling back for our vehicles.
