Aloha! Wow where can I start? First of all, you will be learning basic hula steps. All hula schools have a slight different way of teaching hula basic steps. You will learn the traditions of my teachers in class. You will also learn the customs and protocol of hula, ie. where hula began, what happened when hula was n band in the 1800's, what hula steps are used while others are not in different situations, etc... You will also learn the historical background of hula, songs, and folklore. Also the customs and heritage of the Hawaiian people. ***We will be rehursing for our upcoming fundraiser event at the college on Nov 14th, 2009 (details to be forwarded later!) Anyone is welcomed!
