Guy Forsyth is a musician with gripping, powerful vocals and a true Renaissance man. He has mastered numerous instruments, including acoustic, electric and slide guitar, harmonica, ukulele and singing saw. Carolyn Wonderland hits the stage with unmatched presence, a true legend in her time. Along with the guitar, she has learned to play a multitude of instruments, including trumpet, accordion, piano, mandolin and lap steel. Joined by both their bands – Will Landin on bass and tuba, Rob Hooper on drums and Cajon, Cole El-Saleh on keyboards – they will bring their unique mixture of blues, folk, rock, country and Tin Pan Alley to an amazing holiday show!

Guy Forsyth has busked on the streets of New Orleans and played guitar atop a mountain in Nepal. He doesn’t remember the first LP he bought, but he can name his first 78: Little Walter’s “Blues with a Feeling,” backed with “Quarter to Twelve.” He calms his brand new baby with the sound of Tibetan prayer bowls ringing. He quotes Leonard Cohen in his e-mails. Since moving to Austin in 1990, he has recorded four solo albums. That’s quite an accumulation of unique pursuits, special memories and fulfilled dreams.
