Description
DUE TO HURRICANE IKE, THE GREEK FESTIVAL HAS BEEN POSTPONED! New dates are November 20, 21, 22, and 23, 2008. This postponement will allow the Gulf Coast to recover from Ike's impact, and give Festival planners time to regroup the Greek community and put on the kind of Greek Festival that Houston has come to expect. A portion of the proceeds from the Festival will be donated to Hurricane Ike relief efforts. Any prepurchased Greek Festival tickets will be honored on the new dates. The Cathedral was without power for a week, but that has now been restored. The buses used for the shuttle are in use supporting FEMA, the electricians are busy restoring power to the city, and the Festival volunteers are tending to their own homes and families. We will soon be ready to celebrate the Houston spirit at the Greek Festival. OPA!
