Description:
Due to Hurricane Ike, the EcoTracker class on Sept. 13 has been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22. Registered participants should contact the registrar by email or phone (713-366-0421) to reserve a space in the Nov. 22 class.

EcoTracker classes inspire young naturalists - ages 9 to 12 - to explore their surroundings and deepen their knowledge of the natural world.

All classes include a short introduction inside followed by outdoor activities. The majority of class time is spent outside incorporating hands-on, engaging activities.

Participants should come dressed for the weather, wear closed toe shoes, and bring a snack and water.

Programs are held one Saturday a month from September to May. Parents are welcome to drop their kids off or to stay and participate with their child.

Come participate in a series of outdoor adventure classes this fall! Learn the skills to become a super outdoor naturalist.

Saturday, September 13: Map It!

You need to know where you are and where you are going to be a great outdoor navigator. Learn through games and hands-on activities how to read a map, use a compass, and GPS. We will go on a treasure hunt to practice our newly learned orienteering skills.
Event details may change at any time, always check with the event organizer when planning to attend this event or purchase tickets.
