Event details: Art Survives Ike: Art Crawl 08
Description
As part of the 16th Annual Artist's Warehouse ArtCrawl, The Art Institute of Houston and Atelier Jacquinet Art Studio and Gallery present Art Survives Ike: Art Crawl 08.
The Art Institute of Houston is proud to sponsor select artistsincluding works from faculty and The Art Institute of Houston Photo Clubfeatured at Atelier Jacquinet Art Studio and Gallery located at 913 McKee Street, in what used to be Tony's Tortilla Factory on Saturday, November 22, 10am-8pm.
This will be the eighth year that the Atelier is participating in the ArtCrawl.
Visitors can expect paintings, pottery, drawings, performance art, poetry reading, singing, music and more, said Francis Jacquinet, artist, chef and faculty member at The Art Institute of Houston and owner of Atelier Jacquinet.
This year, the Atelier is featuring a collaborative collage of photography from various artists focusing on the artist community before, during and after Hurricane Ike in Art Survives Ike.
Admission is free and light bites and beverages will be provided complimentary by the Great Chefs Club, made up of culinary students from The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Houston.
