Paddle at Patuxet

Clambake 5:30 Join Plimoth Plantation's staff for an exciting on-the-water adventure. Bring your rowboat, canoe or kayak and travel on Plymouth Bay, accompanied by Native mishoons (dugout canoes) and Mayflower II's Ships' boat. Paddlers can choose to depart at noon with the mishoons from the banks of the Eel River at Plimoth Plantation's Wampanoag Homesite or from Stephen's Field with the ships' boat in Plymouth Harbor. The groups will rendezvous and make their way to Plymouth beach for an informal talk on the area's 17th-century maritime past and a snack. The trip concludes at Stephen's Field by 4:30 p.m. The on-the-water trip will be followed by a Cape Cod Clambake and social event at Gainsborough Hall back at Plimoth Plantation at 5:30 p.m. Although the clambake is in honor of the paddlers, it is not necessary to be a part of the adventure to attend. $55 per person. Reservations should be made by July 28th. Contact Janet at 508-746-1622 x8358 or JYoung@Plimoth.org.
