Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) announces the 2009 Awards Night Community Education Meeting.
At this meeting we will be announcing the winners of the Anita Lubov Nursing Scholarships. This fund supports oncology nurses attendance at conferences to improve their care of ovarian cancer survivors.
We will also be celebrating the success of the 10th Annual Silent No Walk Run for Ovarian Cancer. The top three pledge getters, all of whom are long- term ovarian cancer survivors will win prizes ranging from a $300 gift certificate to a MOCA tote bag. Incentive prizes will be handed out to individual fundraisers who reached established prize levels. These individuals together with our generous corporate sponsors enabled MOCA to raise $215,000+ for ovarian cancer research and programs in the state of Minnesota. A slide show featuring our participants and M.C. Evan Farmer of HGTV will be shown.
