Domenic Marte "Deseos De Amarte" About Domenic Marte: Domenic Marte, one of the most influential Bachata style singers of his generation, has in his short, yet accomplished, career been instrumental in reviving the genre. He has brought new life to it with his youthful energy and charm, passionate lyrics and velvety voice. His melodic yet intense vocals bring life to his passionate lyrics, which have become a defining characteristic of his unique style. His mom is from Puerto Rico and his dad from the Dominican Republic, so heÃÂ's what we call a ÃÂ"Domi-Rican.ÃÂ" He was born and raised in Boston; and is promoted as the hottest Latin sensation to hit the airwaves since Marc Anthony and Ricky Martin. His unique persona and style appeal to todayÃÂ's younger generation, while also appealing to BachataÃÂ's more traditional fans. Marte specializes in a Latin music genre called ÃÂ"Bachata Pop.ÃÂ" How does it differ from the traditional Bachata many of us are familiar with? He said: ÃÂ"ItÃÂ's very different from the traditional Bachata that is out there. The chord progressions, melody and style of the guitar are very different than what anybody else is doing.ÃÂ" CBS Interview With Domenic Marte EXCLUSIVE! He said: ÃÂ"IÃÂ've been privileged to sing the National Anthem for the Boston Red Sox organization twice. It is difficult to explain the tremendous amount of pride I felt, not only in representing my two Latino cultures, but also in representing my pride in being an American. The response of having over 40,000 fans applauding my performance is an experience I will treasure forever.ÃÂ" How did he develop his musical talent? He said: ÃÂ"I owe my success to a Berkeley professor named John Chase. He took me under his wing and taught me everything I know. I came from a very poor family and we didnÃÂ't have very much. So I was extremely fortunate, and thankful, to have been mentored by John. I was a back-up singer for a while, but always felt I could be the main attraction.ÃÂ" He continued: ÃÂ"My father always told me that, with my particular voice and style, if I would focus on Bachata, I would be a success. So I have to thank him also. He had realized my calling before I ever did. In fulfilling his vision, I started performing as a solo Bachata Pop artist in 2003 on the outskirts of Boston in a little town called Lawrence. The population is that area is probably 65% Latino.ÃÂ" DOMENIC M "ELLA SE LLEVO MI VIDA" In November of 2006, J&N Records and Sony Records released his debut album "Intimamente." It performed extremely well on Latin sales charts while also spawning three hit singles: ÃÂ"Ven TuÃÂ": ÃÂ"La QuieroÃÂ": and ÃÂ"ItÃÂ's Over NowÃÂ". The album launched the # 1 Bachata single "Ven Tu,ÃÂ" which earned him a Premio Lo Nuestro nomination. With his other hit single, ÃÂ"Ya Que Te Vas A Ir,ÃÂ" Marte continues to revolutionize Bachata with a well-put-together production. Marte is a multi-talented man with a bright future. Of the 16 songs on the Intimamente album, he wrote six of them. And he not only wrote songs for this album, but he produced one of the tracks "Find Another Man." That is indicative of the various hats he is capable of wearing: artist; producer; and song writer. Four of the album tracks were performed in English and the remainder of the album is in Spanish. The album consists of a variety of musical styles from Latin Pop and Bachata to some smoothed-out R&B. The music video for "Ven TuÃÂ" made its international premiere on Telemundo's Spanish language television show "Ritmo Y Sabor" and held the # 1 position on its music video countdown. D'Marte, as friends call him, has certainly shared some memorable musical moments in his climb up to stardom. His talent has given him the opportunity to share the stage as backup singer to such mega divas as Thalia and appearances in music videos with Jennifer Lopez. He has the innovative strength to revitalize that special spark and capture the hearts of a new generation of Latin music lovers. Since that time, Marte has done promotional tours that have taken him across the nation and around the world, including such places as Spain, Costa Rica, Poland and now ÃÂ- Hawaii!
