Dannah Gresh has sold over half a million copies of her books—including And the Bride Wore White and Lies Young Women Believe (co-authored with Nancy Leigh DeMoss)—, making her one of the most successful Christian authors targeting teens and tweens. She has long been at the forefront of the movement to encourage tweens and teens to be modest in their dress and to avoid premarital sex, a message now seen on TV shows such as The Secret Life of the American Teenager and in the popularity of teen celibacy vows and Father/Daughter purity balls.
