Infinite Perspectives: Prints by Bruce McCombs” opened on Saturday, Nov. 21, and will continue through Wednesday, Jan. 10. The exhibition features works by McCombs that are in the museum’s permanent collection. McCombs actively displays his prints and paintings throughout the U.S. and around the world. His artwork has been procured by many permanent collections both nationally and internationally, including the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., and the National Museum of Fine Arts in Hanoi, Vietnam. A member of the Hope faculty since 1969, he holds his B.F.A. from the Cleveland Institute of Art and his M.F.A. from Tulane University in New Orleans, La. The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art has one of the finest collections of 18th-, 19th-, 20th- and 21st-century American art in the Midwest. The museum’s mission is to bring excitement, awareness and appreciation of American visual arts to all within the region through education, the museum’s permanent collection, temporary exhibitions and the nurturing of regional artists. The museum is located at 2818 Frederick Ave. in St. Joseph, Mo. The museum is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The museum is closed on Mondays, New Year’s Day, Easter, July 4, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Admission is $5 for adults between 18 and 59; $2 for senior citizens, age 60 and above; $1 for those under 18 and students with a valid ID; and free for those under six.
