10:00 AM until 2:00 PM
The Bare Cove Park Committee invites all interested Volunteers to participate in a Park clean-up. We will break into groups and clean up the tidal areas, shoreline, paved and wooded trail areas. This will give you an opportunity to explore some areas of the park that you may not have seen, and preserve this special property for future generations.
We suggest that you wear appropriate clothing, including rubber boots for addressing wet areas, and bring your own gloves. Some light refreshments and water will be provided, but we also suggest that you bring a bag lunch, sunscreen, and bug repellant. Volunteers should assemble at the Beal Street entrance to the park by the Model Railroad Club.
Bare Cove Park consists of 484 acres along the banks of the Back River in Hingham. Set aside as a wildlife sanctuary and a place for public recreation, the park is an exceptional area of river shoreline, wetland, open fields, dense woods, and diverse animal and plant life. All types of migratory birds can be seen at different times of year. Bare Cove Park's many miles of paved roadways and woodland trails are ideal for walking, jogging, bicycling, or peaceful contemplation.
Please help us clean up this wonderful gem. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call. Thank you,
