Meeting to read, and discuss "The 5000 Year Leap" by Cleon Skousen. This book is a great introduction to the thinking and actual quotes of the founders, and the uniqueness of what they achieved. For those coming for the first time, you will need to get your own copy of the book. We do not have any extras at this time. We always have good discussions! We are finding the principles of the 5000 Year Leap to be critically important and very much lacking today. We can see definite cause and effect between the abandoning of these principles, and the onset of our current national malaise. For this next meeting, you need to have read and be prepared to discuss principles 21 through 23. Be prepared to discuss your thoughts on these sections, what you most appreciated, and any favorite quotes from the book, along with any practical implications/applications for us today. We look forward to seeing many of you there, and moving on in our study of our nation's founders, heritage, and the principles that made her great! We at the Hickory 912 Project group firmly believe a large part of our country's current ills stems from a long standing lack of proper education on these issues, and believe that our primary duty is to educate ourselves once again, in order to restore our great nation to its original Constutitional form of government. United we stand!
