Walking Event:

Daily Dawn to Dusk. Ask at the gas station register for Volksmarch box(walk box). Please do not park on the Wendy's side or in front of the building-park on the 2nd Street side of the building. On weekends you may park behind the office building to the left of Wendy's. Henderson is located on the south bank of the beautiful Ohio river. At one time Henderson was the second richest city per capita in the world, and as a result there remains today many charming and elaborate homes built in the early 1800's. The walk is on city streets and park walking paths. You will walk through City Park, the first park west of the Allegheny mountains, Audubon Mill Park with it's views of the Ohio River, and Atkinson park. Walking through downtown Henderson you may want to stop and shop at some of the specialty shops. It's a sure bet you will enjoy this unique Kentucky town.
