Kunsthalle Helsinki has been a central venue for changing exhibitions since 1928. Ehxibitions held there include private and group shows of Finninsh, as well as international fine arts, architecture, photography and applied arts. Kunsthalle Helsinki has presented for instance Alvar Aalto, Eero Aarnio, Christian Boltanski, Marlene Dumas, Arne Jacobsen, Andy Warhol, Maaria Wirkkala and Luc Tuymans exhibitions. Designed by Hilding Ekelund and Jarl Eklund, the Kunsthalle building is of architectural and historical importance. Space for events (e.g. cocktails), no auditorium. Open: 2007: Tue, Thu, Fri 11am-6pm, Wed 11am-8pm, Sat-Sun 12noon-5pm Admission: 2007: Adults 7€, children under 18 years free, pensioners, students and unemployed 5€/person.
