Come meet Rancho Gorda founder Steve Sando as he signs copies of his new book, Heirloom Beans. J’s Executive Chef, Mark Caldwell will pair select recipes from the book to J’s Russian River Valley Pinot Noirs, Chardonnay and sparkling wines. Who would have thought a simple bean could do so much? Sando’s book provides descriptions of the many varieties now available, and offers nearly 90 recipes such as bowls of heartwarming Risotto and Cranberry Beans with Pancetta or Caribbean Black Bean Soup.
