Hours: Daily, dawn to dusk. Downtown/Riverfront walk includes the Old State House (designed by Charles Bullfinch in 1796), the unique gothic revival state capital, as well as the Wadsworth Atheneum (one of the oldest art museums in the country; its annual Festival of Trees is held in early December), and two bridges over the Connecticut River.
