Roc Day Artisans at Hardesty-Higgins House

The event known as "Roc Day" is a celebration originating in medieval Europe that marks the end of the holiday season. Traditionally Roc or St. Distaff Day was observed twelve days after Christmas when spinners resumed their work. This carried over into Colonial times as a social event.
Meet the artisans and learn about spinning, weaving, and the mirthful observance of Roc Day at the Hardesty-Higgins House Visitor Center on Thursday, January 7 from 10am-4pm.
Free and open to the public.
